Our Tearoom is a friendly family-run business in the centre of the picturesque village of Porlock.
For over seven years we have been proud to offer our visitors and locals a traditional tearoom experience with homemade cakes, freshly prepared lunches, cream teas, loose leaf tea, quality coffee and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you are exploring Exmoor, walking the South West Coast Path or the Coleridge Way, visiting the Somerset coast, or simply looking for a cosy stop for coffee and cake, we aim to make every visit feel special.
Our very popular Signature cake is our Apple and Whortleberry Cake - delicious served warm with a good dollop of clotted cream, at anytime of day why not treat yourself to one of our Sumptuous Traditional Cream Teas, served with local whortleberry or strawberry jam -depending on your preference and lashings of lovely clotted cream.
Alongside our tearoom, our comfortable self-contained studio B&B provides a peaceful base for visitors wanting to enjoy the beauty of Porlock and Exmoor at a slower pace.

Our History
Our tearoom is named after the local Whortleberry, the Exmoor hills are where the whortleberries (or ‘worts’)grow amongst the heather and gorse, providing a natural resource for wildlife, and are also used to make some truly wonderful culinary delights, such as our signature Apple and Whortleberry cake - delicious served warm with clotted cream.
