Pam & Keith Wicks run and own Whortleberry Tearoom. They came to Porlock in 2001 leaving 30 years of teaching behind them in search of a new career.

They had a steep learning curve but Pam’s family background in the bakery business has enabled her to create delicacies and achieve a reputation for quality products.

From the outset they had clear aims. A traditional tearoom, not a fast food outlet, no all day breakfast and not a chip in sight. A good old fashioned experience based on quality local ingredients and friendly service. A homely place where people can meet, relax and enjoy superior food and drink.
